Dream Centre Bible College is designed to show how God can use ordinary people to do extra ordinary things. The teachings in this program will take place in our thriving church where you will partake in hands on application. This will assist in enhancing the effectiveness of the call of God on your life in the church environment and the market place.

FULL-TIME STUDENTS:

We have a full-time study option for students who wish to graduate with a nationally recognized Certificate IV in Christian Ministry & Theology at the end of the year. Wednesdays have been lined up to be very full and exciting with both teaching and hands-on work spread over the whole course of the day! Our morning session will consist of four units of study, followed by hands-on practical and internship work with a supervisor in the afternoon, then a further two units of study in the evening.  

PART-TIME STUDENTS:

For those wishing to study part-time, we have a number of flexible options to choose from.  Students can choose to undertake subjects on a casual basis (i.e. pick and choose only those subjects they have an interest in).  Alternatively, students who undertake either all morning sessions, or all evening sessions can graduate at the end of the year with a Certificate III in Christian Ministry & Theology.  Morning sessions will run from 8.45 am – 12.30 pm and will consist of 4 units of study, while evening sessions will run from 6.30pm – 9pm and will consist of 2 units of study. 

SUBJECTS:

Our morning sessions will cover the following subjects in term 1 (may be subject to change):

• Character of God – This subject will help you to develop a biblical understanding of the person, nature and works of God.  We look at the redemptive names, attributes and offices of God and the importance of developing a personal knowledge of God based on the study of scripture.  We also take a look at some of the controversial doctrines like Christian suffering, trials and tests, and the origin of sickness and disease.

• Personal Ministry Development – Each believer has a unique place and purpose in the body of Christ.  This subject will help you to identify your call, understand your spiritual giftings and develop critical skills needed for your life and ministry.

• Children’s Ministry – A fun and hands-on subject designed to help you build an effective Children’s ministry.  At the end of this course you will understand the responsibilities of parents and the church in the spiritual nurture of children, be equipped with strategies to manage a classroom and handle difficult children,  and know how to plan and present a balanced 90 minute children’s program.

• Faith Lifestyle – This subject will cover all aspects of how faith is received, developed, released and applied in the everyday life of a believer.  You will learn the elements of effective faith, how to overcome hindrances and investigate biblical patterns for a faith lifestyle that are relevant to us today. 

*  Cost of tuition for morning sessions is $150 per subject per term.


Our evening sessions will include:

• Pastoral Counseling & Small Group Leadership – In this practical subject you will study the dynamics of small groups and learn how to develop and lead a small group within the church.  You will discover how to formulate an effective group format, develop a Bible study & deliver a presentation, as well as providing training for other small group leaders.  You will also investigate and practice specialist communication skills for use in both group and one-on-one settings.

• New Testament Epistles – This subject takes a closer look at the New Testament letters which form the basis of Christian theology.  The epistles are the one part of the Bible which is written specifically to us as New Testament believers, and this subject will provide a thorough overview of the major truths presented within the epistles including insights for Christian life and leadership today. 

*  Cost of tuition for evening sessions is $200 per subject per term.

 
FEES:

A 20% discount will be given for those committed to undertaking either the full Certificate III or Certificate IV qualifications.   A further discount of 10% applies if these fees are paid in full at the beginning of the term.

Term 1:  Wednesday 1 February - 13 April

Term 2: Wednesday 27 April - 22 June

Term 3: Wednesday 13 July - 14 September

Term 4: Wednesday 5 October - 7 December

Interested people need to complete a student application form and personal recommendation form and return it to us along with a once-off $50 registration fee.
