History

Dream Centre South was birthed out of a group of people that have a desire to see their local community touched by the love of God like never before, bringing the message of Jesus, through faith, love, and hope. We believe that the influence of God’s love starts with action, and therefore desire to reach the community through various “Acts of Random Kindness” and offering a place for us to celebrate our amazing God together. In the beginning of 2010 we combined forces and aligned ourselves with Dream Centre Christian Church, coming under the covering of DC and Pastor Rod Gilchrist.

Together we are endeavouring to make an awesome impact in our area by meeting the needs of everyone who lives there, by completing the building of the “NEXUS” Centre which will unite with the Dream Centre South vision for reaching the community like never before.

The Church - God's design for community
DC South will aggressively utilise methodologies in an attempt to reach people who are far from God. Rather than run from our culture we have chosen to harness it to connect with people and show them God's timeless truths. Although our approach is anything but traditional, we believe in and maintain a conservative theological position.

The church is a local community of baptised believers unified through faith in Christ. It is committed to the teachings of Christ, to obeying all of His commands, and it seeks to bring the Gospel to the world. The Church works together in love and unity, intent on the ultimate purpose of glorifying Christ.

Pastors

Pastors Corey and Renèe Pryor have been involved in church ministry for over 25 years. Both raised in the church with parents who are also Senior Pastors in their own churches have a rich heritage of faith instilled within them. Together Corey and Renèe have a passion to see the love of God revealed to all people of all ages, race, and demographic, through the uncompromised Word of God in action by placing value on reaching out to the local community in all areas from helping the needy to encouraging Gods people to fulfil there destiny in Him.

Leadership Team

John and Marilyn Martin are dynamic couple passionate about building the local church to impact the community and our world for the Kingdom of God. John and Marilyn are also astute business people who have a great knowledge and wisdom to impart. Together through the years they have served in church leadership teams, pastoral care and church boards.

In addition to  John and Marilyn Martin, Pastors Rod and Cheryl Gilchrist, Mark Turner and Pastor Sandy Richie, from Dream Centre HQ, are also a part of the pastoral team giving huge amounts of experience and accountability to the church.

Praise and Worship

Our church exists so that people far from God will be filled with life in Christ, so we desire each worship experience to show that life is truly found in Jesus. When you step into a Dream Centre South experience, the overall tone you'll find is one of celebration and joy, where we are holding nothing back in worship of our God. The energy level is high. The worship is free with a prophetic edge. The music is our demonstration of love, for our God is great.
