Discovery Course
Discovery is our course for anyone who has begun the journey of doing life with God, through faith in Jesus Christ. It is a course that gives the fundamentals of Christianity giving you a great start to your walk with God.
There are many myths in society about God. Many people have opinions of who God is, what His expectations are and His opinion of us. We look at what the bible says and during this course we look at:
- What is Salvation and what does it mean?
- Who Is God?
- Why read the Bible?
- How do I walk by Faith?
- How should I pray?
- Who is the Holy Spirit?
- What about Health and Healing?
- What does the Bible say about money & finances?
- Why do we worship & have communion?
- Why be Baptized in water?
- What is the Body of Christ and how does the local church work?
- What is evangelism?
Discovery course is available and encouraged to all who are new to Christianity. At Dream Centre Christian Church we realise that society is ever changing with people in general living busy lifestyles. So to accommodate people we have offer the Discovery course in 3 different ways.
Discovery on DVD
This is discovery delivered to you by our very own founding pastor of Dream Centre Christian Church Rod Gilchrist. Ps Rod is a dynamic communicator and has preached to over a million people in the life of his ministry. You will hear the fundamentals of Christianity delivered in a vibrant and relevant way.
Discovery on the web
For your convenience Discovery will also be accessible on our website for you to be able to go at any time and learn the fundamentals of Christianity.
Discovery live
If you believe there is no substitute for face to face discussions then Discovery connect group is for you. This is where you can learn and discuss in a comfortable and casual environment of a small group of people who are starting out there walk with God just like you. It is held on Sunday afternoons from 4pm – 5:30pm with light refreshments.
In all these formats of the Discovery course questions and discussion is encouraged because it is about you gaining understanding and growing as a person.
